FA Cup implications

Just seen the draw for the 2nd qualifying round. IF we had beaten Ruislip and IF we had then gone on to beat Oxhey Jets we would have

earned a money spinning and potentially exciting tie away to AFC Wimbledon.

DAMN!!!!!!!!!!!

These things happen in the FA Cup. On paper I would expect us to beat Raunds, then Buckingham and now Stratford and get a plum draw in the 3rd. Qualifying. And to be fair, I think against Wimbledon you would have had half a chance.

If we hadn't thrown promotion away at the end of last season, we would have been due to play AFC Wimbledon twice this season in the league! You can blame the failures home and away to Boreham Wood for that!

NO, NO, NO......
Please don't start all that again.

for god sake wake up we are where we are live with it

I agree - we are where we are and that should be the end of it. It is always disappointing after being knocked out of the cup to see which team would have drawn against. Surly this disappointment and speculation should only last for that one fixture that could have been. To start assuming we would have done this and could have done that beyond that fixture is a bit ridiculous.

I was just thinking if the draw had been right last season and we had kept winning then we would have played West Ham in the final and I would have fancied us to do them, did I get the right idea there?

Look! My comment wasn't supposed to set everyone up making recrimonations. It was just an observation that it would have been great to play AFC Wimbledon. Good money for the club but also potentially the biggest crowd we have been part of.

Not to them and the press there isn't.
