Dowson absolutely fuming after Woking's FA Cup defeat to Horsham yesterday.

In his post match interview he stated that he will be dispensing with a couple of defenders this week as a result of the defeat.

Perhaps Slough could get one of those one's discarded ! Be nice if it was a local-ish centre half.

I don't get why managers are shocked by cup defeats to lower opposition,it happens all the time. If your players aren't up for it then they usually get what they deserve ie nothing !

The only problem would be the wages.

Woking are not the biggest payers by far in the National League but still way above us.

Too long in the tooth to be shocked by the defeat more likely to be fuming at the prize money and possible TV money lost.

Yes obviously Slough's budget this season is prohibitive but something will need to be tinkered with, in regards to personnel if they keep losing.

Funny enough one key defender in, and with Warren Harris on the way back, that may make the difference.

It might take a while for Warren Harris to get back up to speed but as you say bringing a new central defender in allowing for a bit of re-jigging in midfield could well do the trick.
