Saturday 14th March

DIVISION ONE

1-5 Southall v Risborough Rangers

Southall were awful today they were asleep for the first 25 mins and didn't start trying until they were 0 3 down. The first two and last Risborough goals were crackers. The Southall goal was decent as well. The Southall Manager shouted all the right things to his players today but the Southall players just didn't seem to listen. I will let our very D.Cassels give his view on todays events.

I was very impressed with Risborough Rangers they played good quick attacking football and scored some very good goals.

Southall started very poorly - the camp were nervous as they had 5 players injured in their squad today including keeper D.Cassells. But Risborough did very well on the day and exploited the jaded camp with some excellent finishing from outside the box..- on this showing I believe Risborough will push Hatfield, Broxbourne and Bedford close for the runners up spot behind Welwyn. As for Southall the 6 games in 20 days has hampered the well being of a number of players... So they will have to dust this one off and go again on Wednesday for their 7th game in 23 days

Two good results for us, only other team to keep a clean sheet against Brimsdown was Hale Leys. Not a lot of chances for either side I was told.

Really pleased with the Reserves win against Holmer Green. It was the end of a 5 game run against 4 of the top 5. Despite losing the other 5, the young side have done really well. Today we had 5 16 year olds against a very physical Holmer Green and to come away with a deserved win against a team who have lost only one league game was brilliant.

It isn't about winning this season for us,but getting experience for these lads for next season.

Berko were poor yesterday and extremely fortunate to even score two goals. It was a real surprise to me how bad they were. Must have been an off day. Up the Lilywhites!
