ETFC V Haringay

Doh

Guess midway through the 2nd half we would have taken that result.

However, after conceding so early on thought we did very well first half and were deservedly in the lead at half time.

Thing is that teams often figure out they can outmuscle us and Joe once again made some great saves to keep us ahead/drawing.

Pity that as yet other than the "dominant" performances we are yet to work out how to finish teams off.   Think the way we're going we'll soon end up draw specialists despite our lovely passing game which was on show yesterday.

Our final ball is still quite disappointing/frustrating!

Your not at all pedantic Steph, after all we must applaud our wonderful mini-politicians for sorting it out for us. No wonder that so many end up as MPs. They must be the ones forming the back bone of the negotiators involved  in Brexit. Or is arbitrators or arbiters?

God this beats Football !!!!!

I also get annoyed by the reference to "Haringay". Haringay is an area of London bordered by Wood Green and Manor House. Haringey is a London Borough formed in 1964 by the amalgamation of Tottenhan, Wood Green and in particular Hornsey. Haringay was the border between Wood Green and Tottenham. The new administration decided to incorporate the "ey" of Hornsey so that the inhabitants of that borough would not feel left out.

It was created in 1965 by the amalgamation of three former boroughs. It shares borders with six other London boroughs. Clockwise from the north, they are: Enfield, Waltham Forest, Hackney, Islington, Camden, and Barnet.

Gosh, no wonder the country is in a mess. I do hope the minor bureaucrats stop joining us all together before they try to combine us with Brussels, so that we can get back to talking football. Mind you, like the BBC often say but won't admit they say it, "it's all being done despite Brexit".

Think I will drop out now as I knew it ended with an "EY" all the time.

Stupid yes, but  what surprises me is that any of the officials saw it happen. They seem to have turned a blind eye on the kicks and shirt pulling that Brickell endured during the game.

I wonder how many spectators saw the Ref. stop his watch each time Wright dribbled the ball in his penalty area, whilst the ball was still in play, before picking it up to make a clearance. The reason why I noted this is because I was puzzled why he kept showing his watch to his assistants which could only have meant he was adding time. I hope that if an assessor was their they took note of this too.

To be fair Billy gives as much as he gets.
