Poor from us today but well played sheerwater. Let in a early goal then camped in there half for whole second half . 2 0 as hit on break late on before scoring with last kick from bloxham

Eversley & California 1 v 2 Sheerwater

 

Can`t believe this is the same team after Saturday and 4 players out showed that maybe we don`t have the strength in depth that we need. It has to be said we looked very poor today and Sheerwater deserved their victory.

Right from the start the team seemed to lack shape and we looked very exposed from two early set pieces. In hindsight perhaps leaving 3 up for these was asking for trouble and on 15 minutes the visitors took the lead from a free kick, scrambling the ball home from close range. For the rest of the half neither side seemed to be able to string more than a couple of passes together.

The Boars started the second half with more commitment and had some excellent chances, the visitors keeper making at least two worldies that I can recall. Sheerwater rode the storm and as anxiety set in to the home side. They should have buried the game with two glorious chances as they picked us off on the break but did finally seal the points with 5 to go.

A last minute consolation but it was too little, too late.

Away to in form Spelthorne Saturday which is now a massive game for us.
