I really feel sorry for the supporters of Salisbury City FC.

 

It seems the club have been duped by a supposed rich Dubai businessman who passed the farcical Conference 'fit and proper' test by providing a P.O. Box and an E mail address. Unless someone stumps up some money by next Monday Salisbury City are no more.

Trouble now is the Kettering syndrome.

Another fake 'rich' owner has ruined a football club.

 

 

The trouble is that these people aren't checked carefully enough when they appear on the scene and clubs/teams just see pound notes in their eyes..

 

A little background delving can turn up quite a lot of useful information !

Of course you're right, clubs should do their checks and the respective leagues should ensure that clubs have done it properly.

It seems to be the in thing these days to sack a manager a few games into the season! I just don't see the point or understand why they don't get at least 10 games to prove themselves. Your season isn't finished after 3 or 4 games, even after 10 it's still possible to have a successful season!

With Phil Simkin it was all to do with what he said after getting some stick from the supporters after their latest defeat to Weymouth.
