Great win yesterday.  Yes I’m talking about my win over The Geezer, but obviously The Chins v Enfield comes a close second. 

Last week the Prediction League was rocked by controversy surrounding the management’s alleged “harsh treatment” of a couple of long-time players’ violation of rule 5.1.  Or maybe rule 5.2.  Nobody can quite remember.  Well no apologies from me – tough love clearly works as this week I note that the formatting is all perfect and I can get to bed at a sensible hour.  So many thanks to you all.  Spare the rod and spoil the child.  Or something.  (Can we say that any more? – probably not!)

Also – a note to one of the complainants – we generally have a few contingency games coming into play each mini-season, for example 3 in Autumn 22/3, 1 in Spring 22/3, and 2 already in Autumn 23/4.  So your standard deviation calculation needs urgent recalibration if you are using it as part of your prediction algorithm. 

Anyway, moving swiftly on from abstruse mathematics, Luke’s dominance continues, as does the collective incompetence of the Supporters’ Association committee members.  It’s frankly amazing they can run a bath, let alone put on the super-slick match-day operation they churn out each week (and for which the rest of us are forever grateful).  A conundrum is it not?
