What a week for Sir Colin.  OK so the Chins win something or other at tea time on Saturday, but more importantly he goes top of the Les Walker.   He must be pinching himself.  

They say (whoever “they” are), that title winning teams are built on solid defences.  Well Sir Colin and Lady Jago are proving the point by topping the two divisions with the respective meanest defences in the two tiers.  Maybe “they” are right – or maybe it’s down to the sheer luck of who you happen to be playing each week.  I wouldn’t like to comment.

Anyway – Urchin Queen is now unassailable (in all walks of life actually), so the Div 2 trophy would be nestling on the Jago mantelpiece if there was one (a trophy that is – we do have a mantelpiece).   Congratulations m’Lady.   This is as a result of Adrian’s continued decline - he is now perilously close to entering the lottery of the playoffs having led the division for several weeks.   Shape up Adrian!

Elsewhere, relegation was confirmed for Luke and almost certainly for Clive.  The latter can feel a tad unlucky having boomed in an impressive 13 goals – unfortunately he was playing me and I got 14. Ouch.   How I laughed. 

And so to the final week – and what a denouement we have in store.  It can still go any of three ways.  Sir Colin wins – he wins the title – but a draw will probably be no good as it could let in Ozz or The Lord.  REMEMBER – rule 3.1 – positions are sorted on Points, then Goals scored, then Goal difference. And then how much you are prepared to pay me.

Well mid table mediocre is not bad for a first season, had the bright lights for one week and then into back to back losses, sealed my hopes for the season. Oh well!
