Disappointing result yesterday, but what a run we’ve had. Anyway, onwards to Merstham.

It was a pretty low scoring week in the Prediction League, although Blackballed rose above the general dross with a magnificent dozen.  In fact he’d been complaining earlier in the day about losing by just the one goal far too often. Naturally I was angling for a bribe, but when this was not forthcoming I explained there was a simple solution - he just needed to get a bit more accurate!  So he only goes and gets the attendance spot on (our first of this season).   Keep it up Dave – you’ll win the thing one day.   Maybe!

In other news:

  • Wivenhoe Urchin notched his first win of the season – a late charge for the playoffs coming up?
  • The Havering CC “Snick Drive” derby was a massacre, with Mysterious Nick showing no mercy against “worst defence in the league” Clive.  I sense a big money defensive transfer from the Dummies coming up - watch the national press for details.
  • Lord Upminster moves top of Div 2, but I regret to say has also been issued an official warning for transgressing rule 5.1.  Let me know if you can’t work out what went wrong Your Lordship.  It’s possibly a browser thing.
