The view was fantastic. I may have some crowd shots from the start and the end.

There was more than that, the satand was nearly full and can hold 2500 apparently,I reckon about,1000 urchins 600 rovers

the attendence was announced as 1223...there is not a sane person in that ground last night that would confirm it....

I understand they ran out of tickets and had to disable the entrance system.............does that account for the discrepancy perhaps?

The attendance of 1223 is correct - here is the analysis

 

HFC - 1,100 (in south side of stand)

GWR - 620 (in north side of stand)

Neutrals - 503 - also in north side of stand)

Directors box and VIP area - 150 (in centre of stand, and tickets were not marked on entry nor were there any turnstyles)

 

Total 1100 + 620 + 503 + 150 equals 1223 exactly - so therefore the attendance, as announced, is correct. The announcements were very hard to hear due to the fact that the tannoy did not work properly in most areas.

1100 + 620 + 503 + 150 equals 2383 surely obviously taking away the 150 from the vip equals 2223 or have i missed something here???

I suspect Dagger's post was written with a large dollop of irony. I think he was trying to point out that the gate was under estimated. A very common practice I am told.

Tuesday night...because of some rule about abandoned games...Sudbury had to share the profit or loss from the game at Redbridge.....the usual 90 odd Sudbury fans travelled. The gate ?.........90 !!!! Attendance figures are a load of crap !!!
