Saturday 10th October - Match Thread

I see the hand-bag sale is still doing well.

At the end of the day, style of play means nothing.  It's 3 points, or progression to the next round at the end of the game, surely ?

I also think that success for a lot of clubs is actually remaining in the CCL Prem cos at the end of the day it is a very good league with some great places to play and all of it within easy reach.

Duncs, you've hit the nail on the head, your quote about the CCL being a very good league with limited travel seems what most clubs with a tight budget needs. I for one would not like going to level 4 and be put in the Southern S W league. Clubs like Cambo and H W must be in with a shot of going that way.

Totally Agree with Tel. Having been a supporter of Egham for Years. Must Say i enjoyed our time in the CoCo so much. Guernsey Away Who would of thought your team would have to fly to an Away game. The Season we won the league was Brilliant. I for one hope someday to go back into it. And by the Way Players and Managers come and go But hopefully your club will always be there Whatever league you are in

We had Stuart at Chertsey good shot stopper however his dead ball kicking needed work and was not too comfortable with crosses

How is he doing now

I hope he is doing well

All round he has improved vastly,i think he is the sort of lad who will train until the cows come home and needs the specialist training that all goalkeepers benefit from,i like him and think with his mind in the right place he could easily go higher, don't forget in goalkeeper terms he is still very much a new kid on the block.

I have watched him several times at Westfield this season and he has been outstanding. I don't see any problem with his kicking ? his dead ball is well over the half way line and drop ball kicking is between halfway and the opponents penalty box. I reckon he has the safest hands of any keeper in the division that I have seen and catches the ball very cleanly. A great shot stopper, ask Camberley lol

I agree with Duncs that he could and possibly should be playing at a higher level and have no doubt he will be in the future.
