Eversley & California FC 2 Banstead 1

We played well first half and Chris Fox opened the scoring and it remained 1-0 at half time. We missed several chances and the Banstead keeper made some good saves. However Shelley also made a great save for us.

2nd half Banstead really came st us and got a well deserved equaliser. At this point they were in the ascendency and it looked like they would go on to sequre all three points.

Both sides were going all out for the win and fortunately a poor attempted header back to the keeper presented Neil Williams with an open goal which he finished easily.

We held on for a very important three points and we now move on to Frimley on Monday.

Very impressed by Banstead today and I'm surprised they are not higher up the table. Think if they keep that side together, they will surprise a few teams before the end of the season.

Cobham 1-3 Westfield

Bad start for us falling behind inside 5 minutes after an awful error at the back. To be fair we didnt play bad first half but couldn't convert any chances.

2nd half we battered Cobham and levelled through Shane Cheeseman and the same player put us ahead wIth 9 minutes left. Scored a 3rd from the spot in injury time to seal a good victory and much needed 3 points with most other teams around us winning. Long way to go but as I said yesterday its down to 6 teams now.

Guernsey lose 1-0 and go out of the Vase.

Thought we deserved an honourable draw, but their defence impenetrable. Best moment of the day was when a besuited official came over to ask which garden the ball had gone in 5 minutes earlier. He threatened to scale the barbed wire wall but common sense prevailed.

We will be back. Too much ability not to be.

I'm quite happy to just put all our efforts next season to progression in whatever League we are in. Very proud of all concerned, looks like GFC picked up some new fans yesterday with some Darlo fans adopting us for the day.

Despite being beaten by a better team over the two legs, GFC have plenty to be proud of, lots of publicity for the club, Island and the CCL.

Right, lets work around the crazy schedule we have been given and do our utmost to gain promotion.

Everybody has a crazy schedule only difference for Guernseys is yours is Fri,Sat,Sun most of them are at Home so you'll be fine and are still massive favourites to win it, the teams your playing have nothing to play for so it's in your hands

Ash utd 5 Hanworth v 1

Well I didn't see that coming, was hoping for a win but a big was was a pleasant surprise & a well needed one.

Didn't start too well with hanworth taking a deserved lead but by ht we had almost won the game by going in 4-1 up, with some good finishing from decent play. 2nd half hanworth played much better but the defence held out & on the break ash scored again. We could have had a couple more but failed to take them.

3very points but only down side was the results from other games which meant we didnt pull away from the dogfight at the wrong end off the table.

Not wishing to point out the bleeding obviois, but taing your points 1 by 1: I don't see another team with a schedule as crazy, 5 of our next 10 are away, Egham are favourites, and I've not seen a CCL team rollover for anyone. Apart from that, good post.

Lets look at the next five games Bob...

Monday away to Windsor less than 48 hours after a cup semi-final 500 miles away from home

Friday evening away to South Park

Saturday afternoon home to Cove

Sunday lunchtime home to Camberley

Tuesday evening away to Farnham

To say we are favorites to "win it" is rather disrespectful of the likes of Egham.

For many teams its their cup final to play GFC, so unlikely to see any just rolling over (and why the hell should they!), they will all quite correctly want to put one over Guernsey.

OMG who do you think you are,we approach every game the same probably the biggest games for most teams are the local derbies (we have Camberley on easter monday ) you mustn't adopt this stupid attitude the difference between the teams at the top and the teams at the bottom is very small I'm afraid money dictates and can afford you 1or 2 players that make the difference thats all.

For many teams its their cup final to play GFC.No it's not. Arrogant nonsense. One of the reasons you got voted in was because clubs were expecting you to bring loads of fans. Having seen you twice at the Runnymede Stadium I can say without doubt that that does not happen. GFC are obviously very good but no-one's in awe of you.
